Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Genesis One, a DBA of Mardania LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with Autograph (the “App”). We aim to collect as little as possible.
1. Information you put into your signature
The App lets you enter details for your email signature — such as your name, title, company, email addresses, phone numbers, website, address, and social links — and optionally upload images (photo, logo, banner). This content is yours. It is stored locally on your Mac. If you use paid image features, images you choose to host are uploaded to our image hosting (see “Image hosting” below) so they display correctly in emails.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not sell your personal information. We do not read, access, or send your email. The App’s access to Apple Mail is used solely to install the signature you create; we do not read your messages, contacts, or mailboxes.
3. Purchases
Purchases are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. When you buy the App, Paddle collects the information needed to process payment and comply with tax and legal requirements (such as your name, email, billing details, and country). We receive limited order information from Paddle (such as your email and license status) to deliver and support your license. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Paddle’s handling of your information is governed by Paddle’s own privacy policy.
4. Image hosting
If you use paid hosted-image features, images you choose to host (such as your photo, logo, or banner) are stored on our content-delivery infrastructure (Cloudflare R2) so they render reliably in email clients. These images are served from a hosting domain and are, by the nature of email, viewable by recipients of emails containing your signature. We do not use these images for any purpose other than serving them in your signature.
5. Anonymous usage analytics
The App reports a small amount of anonymous usage data so we can understand which features people actually use and which ones are worth building next. This is our own first-party system — there are no third-party analytics SDKs in the App, and nothing is shared with advertisers or data brokers.
What is sent: the fact that the App launched (and whether it is licensed), which paid feature was reached, whether the upgrade screen was opened or dismissed, whether checkout was opened, that a license was activated (and its seat count), and which template a signature was installed from. Each event carries only a short internal label such as “divider-color”, plus the same locally generated device identifier used for license activation.
What is never sent: your signature content, name, title, company, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, links, images, the HTML of your signature, your IP address, or anything from your mailbox. Our server keeps only day-by-day totals; it does not retain a per-event record of your device identifier or build a profile of you.
If the App crashes, macOS writes a crash report on your Mac. On the next launch we read only two things from it — the App version and a short technical crash signature (for example “exc_bad_access”) — and send those so we can tell that a release is crashing. The crash report itself, including any stack traces and file paths, stays on your Mac and is never uploaded.
Events are queued on your Mac and sent in batches, so the App works normally offline. You can turn this off at any time in the App’s Autograph menu → Share Anonymous Usage Data. Turning it off stops all of the above — usage events and crash counts — and discards anything still waiting to be sent.
6. Email you sign up with
If you ask us for something by email — such as the “Apple Mail Signature Fix Kit” — we collect the email address you enter, and note which page you signed up from. We use it to send you what you asked for and occasional related tips about email signatures on the Mac. We use Resend to store the list and deliver these emails; we do not sell or share it. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and you can also email support@autographs.app to be removed. Signing up for the kit is separate from buying or using the app — you can do either without the other.
7. Diagnostics and support
If you contact us for support, we use the information you provide (such as your email and message) to help you. The App may use a locally generated device identifier to manage license activation and device limits; this identifier is not your personal identity and is used only for licensing.
8. Data retention
Signature content stays on your Mac until you delete it. Hosted images remain on our hosting so that previously sent emails continue to display correctly; you can contact us to request removal. Order and license records are retained as needed to support your license and meet legal and accounting obligations.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at support@autographs.app. For payment-related data held by Paddle as Merchant of Record, you may also contact Paddle directly.
10. Children
The App is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
